MARIAN BERGESON ELEMENTARY

INTRODUCING PRINCIPAL MURPHINE:

It is my pleasure to share a little about myself.  Capistrano Unified School District (CUSD) has been my home for close to thirty years. I have served as a middle school teacher, grant coordinator, middle school assistant principal, high school assistant principal and, most recently, as principal at Newhart Middle School. I hold a Bachelors degree in Spanish (World Languages) and a Masters in Educational Leadership. As a college recruiter for Golden West Community College and the University of California Irvine, I advocated for access and opportunities to higher education for all students.  

Educating our youth is my passion and my life! 

I started my teaching career as an elementary school teacher.  It is exciting to come full circle to work at Bergeson with teachers, staff, and parents who support our students during the foundational years of their life, and education.  I had the opportunity to visit Bergeson before the end of the school year and  I am impressed with the parents' involvement and commitment to the school, hardworking and  knowledgeable teachers, caring staff, and kindhearted students.  I look forward to getting to know all of our Bulldogs this coming school year.  I look forward to getting to know our Bergeson families and community!
